DAY 3
SEPTEMBER 17, 2024
SEPTEMBER 17, 2024
Jesus is my PROVIDER
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
We all likely have experienced times and types of needs. As a single mother in my 20s, I struggled. In that season, I would say my greatest needs were financial and energy to keep up with two small children. I am grateful for the help from family that God provided as I finished my college degree. But soon after graduating - and still struggling with entry level wages - God spoke to me through sermon, prayer and devotions about relying on Him more. He began teaching me about tithing beyond some change my grandmother would give me to bring to Sunday school. Still I struggled with the idea of how the ends would meet from paycheck to paycheck by giving away more of “my” money.
Later in life I learned it was all His anyway, but for now He revealed his promise in Philippians 4:19. Placing my faith in his Word, I gave what I could at the time - not quite 10 percent, but still I obeyed and He met all of my needs. From a meal made by a friend and a refund on an overpayment of taxes to a job offer with a livable wage and, the following year, another one with even higher pay - God showed up and increasingly demonstrated the promise of His word by meeting my needs.
CONSIDER THIS:
Read: Philippians 4:19
PRAY: Will you ask God to show up as the provider of your needs? Not your wants, but your needs. Ask Him to give you the faith to trust in Him to deliver. Praise Him when He does and then share with someone.

CONSIDER THIS:
Read: Philippians 4:19
- What is a need at this time in your life that you should bring to God?
- How can leaning into and believing God’s promises help you be more faithful to other areas of His word - tithing, serving, worshiping, etc.?
- Why is tithing so hard even though God has given it all to us and he’ll provide even more?
PRAY: Will you ask God to show up as the provider of your needs? Not your wants, but your needs. Ask Him to give you the faith to trust in Him to deliver. Praise Him when He does and then share with someone.
