Applications for 2027-28 residency now open through December 1

Crosspoint Institute is now accepting applications for a two-year ministry residency beginning in January 2027. The program, which supports Kingdom and Crosspoint Church growth, offers individuals who sense God's calling into vocational ministry opportunities to gain hands-on experience, spiritual mentorship and leadership development.

Through the Crosspoint Institute, the residency is designed to intentionally identify, develop and equip future ministry leaders by combining practical service within the church with biblical education and personal discipleship.

“Our heart is to invest in the next generation of ministry leaders by giving them opportunities to discover and develop the gifts God has given them,” said Associate Pastor Wesley Peden, who oversees the Crosspoint Institute. “We want residents to do more than learn about ministry. We want them to experience it firsthand, grow in their faith and develop the confidence to follow God's calling wherever He leads.”

Residents work alongside Crosspoint's pastors, staff and ministry leaders, gaining experience in teaching, discipleship, outreach, ministry planning and leadership. Through intentional mentoring and opportunities to serve, participants develop both the practical skills and spiritual foundation needed for a lifetime of ministry.

The Institute launched in 2026 with its first ministry resident, John Burris, who has served in a variety of roles, including preaching and teaching, supporting Crosspoint Youth and Young Adults, and participating in community outreach. His experience reflects the Institute's commitment to developing leaders through meaningful ministry opportunities.

“The Church has a responsibility to recognize and encourage those God is calling into ministry,” Peden added. “This residency is one way Crosspoint can invest in those individuals while helping prepare leaders who will make an impact for God's Kingdom, whether that's here at Crosspoint or wherever He calls them to serve.”

Applications are now open for the January 2027 residency. Individuals interested in exploring a calling to vocational ministry are encouraged to learn more and apply at:
