EQUIP discussions to tackle today's topics with Biblical view
How should Christians navigate today's cultural conversations about race, disability, gender and sexuality through the lens of Scripture? That question will be at the heart of EQUIP: A One-Day Apologetics Conference, taking place Saturday, November 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Crosspoint Church.
Centered on the theme “Wokeness & the Image of God,” the conference will help believers develop a biblical understanding of some of today's most challenging cultural issues while equipping them to engage in conversations with both truth and compassion.
“Our culture is having important conversations about identity, dignity and what it means to be human," said Christi Bartels of Mama Bear Apologetics, a ministry dedicated to helping Christians recognize and respond to cultural messages through a biblical worldview. "As Christians, we have an opportunity to approach these conversations with both biblical conviction and genuine compassion, remembering that every person is created in the image of God.”
The conference format will include four teaching sessions examining topics such as race, disability, gender and sexuality, with each discussion exploring how a biblical understanding of the image of God shapes the way Christians view and respond to these issues.
In addition to the teaching sessions, attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a Q&A discussion with conference speakers during lunch. This interactive format will allow participants to explore questions and consider practical ways to apply what they learn in everyday conversations, relationships and ministry.
The conference is designed for parents, students, ministry leaders and anyone seeking greater confidence in understanding and communicating a biblical worldview in today's culture.
Registration is $10 per person, which includes lunch and session guides.
